Welding Comments:

As a person who has had no training in welding, just seat of the pants learning, I found this video series very informative. I have an arc welder and fluxcore that I have been playing with for years. The instruction on the videos gave me so much knowledge and showed me what I have been doing wrong for so long. I really like the ability to see the actual welding in process so that you can see exactly what it’s supposed to look like. Showing you the proper way and being able to replay it so you can get complete understanding is just great. I am a hobbyist gunsmith with hope of someday going into it further. The other disks will be such a help when I’m able to get a TIG welder. I find the entire series to be very user friendly and if you plan to start or even have been welding you should use these tapes.

Prior to your welding course I had exactly zero welding experience. Your course format is awesome to say the least; I was able to see and understand the principals involved in gas welding and cutting immediately.

I am confident that with practice and the ability to review the course information as often as needed I will become proficient in the use of the welding/cutting torch.

I am looking forward to studying all aspects of welding as presented in this course. I can say without reservation that I would and have recommended this course to anyone interested in welding.

Thank you for making a first rate training experience possible.

Ronald W. Desrosiers Jr. – Bremerton, WA

I would like to say that you have the best way of teaching. Your DVDs put you right in the classroom with the instructor. In the welding course, it is like being right there without the welding helmet on. You can see a lot more and a lot better. There is no reason why you can not learn to weld if you pay attention to the DVD and practice like it tells you to.

These DVDs are so self explanatory that you can not help learn from them. I can not say enough about the school. I am in the process of taking the machine shop and welding courses. I am well satisfied with the cost of the courses and the school.

You’re the best.

Lon Tutton – Terrell, TX

Your new complete course is a quality instructional series from start to finish, everything is covered in full detail starting with the history of Welding and safety, welding with gas and electricity to building a nice welding table. Bob Rizetto does an exceptional job explaining even the most complex procedures and shows us how to do everything step by step. The Gas Welding and the Gas Cutting sections of the course are particularly thorough and provide a solid foundation for the rest of the course.

One of the many advantages I appreciate about Video Based Learning is that it is a “concentrated” form of learning. Every one hour of video is equal to at least three hours of classroom time. I do not believe that is an aggregation either, I’ve taken plenty of night classes/courses and have always thought more time was wasted than spent on actual course work. The two things I hate to waste the most are time and my money, and with your Professional Course I know that I won’t waste either.

I just finished your welding course, and I was surprised at how much I learned. I have been a Journeyman Carpenter for the past ten years, after serving a formal four year apprenticeship. During my apprenticeship, I specialized in structural welding. I have been a certified welder for over twelve years, so, I kind of doubted that I would really learn anything new from your course. I’ve been wrong before, and I certainly was this time.

I have never heard anyone explain welding so clearly and concisely. I wish I had seen this set of videos years ago. Some of the things it took me years to get right, were summed up in a couple of minutes. I learned to weld from some of the best welders in the business. Proficient as they are, they are not that great at teaching their skills to others. I learned by watching them, and trying to understand what they were telling me. It was a slow and frustrating way to learn. I screwed up plenty of welds, and got to be very well acquainted with the grinder before I got it right. If I had started with your course, it would have saved me hours of grief. Thanks for the great course!
I will recommend it to everyone I can.

You’ve done it again!!!

After being in the machine shop industry for many years and being employed in building prototype and one-of-a-kind machinery, you have accomplished something with your new Professional Welding Course that I would not have thought possible. You have truly impressed me!!
The quality of your instructors, course content, and the logical progression of the material would make it easy for the least mechanically inclined person to learn welding. Anyone who uses your DVD’s and applies themselves even a little bit could become a first-class welder.

My father, a pressure vessel qualified welder for over 35 years, watched a few of the DVD’s with me and made the comment that your Professional Welding Course might accomplish what he never could and make a true professional welder of me.

I can’t thank you enough for your attention to detail, quality, and course content that are making a lifelong dream come true.

Thank you!

WOW!!!

As soon as I opened my new welding course, I found much more than I expected. I was extremely pleased with the “The Professional Welding Course”. I have seen home study courses that use lots of big, bulky books, having this course in DVD form made it very easy to use. The course comes in a compact, easy to carry binder that I was able to take with me to my shop. The detailed labeling of the DVD’s made it effortless to go back and restudy or practice a specific type of welding or cutting style.

I was very impressed with the abundant knowledge of the instructor. Except for not being in the same room together, the course was so detailed it was as if I was having a one on one, hands on lesson. Everything was covered, from welding history and safety to every aspect of the different types of welding. The teaching method was enhanced by perfect camera angles to show exactly what the instructor was doing.

I found the information given on TIG welding to be most beneficial. Taking this course has definitely enhanced my knowledge and ability. I would, without a doubt, recommend this course to anyone interested in welding or any other career that welding would be necessary.

Thanks for everything,

Tony Richardson – Aberdeen, NC

Machine Shop Comments:

I had been working in the machine tool industry for three years when I started this course. It filled in many of the holes left from learning as you go. There were also countless times I found myself wishing I had taken this course when I first started. I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a career in the industry. Thank you.

Thanks to the Lathe, Mill, and General Shop Courses, my dream is coming true. I have learned so much and will continue to refer back when needed. I will recommend your course to anyone who wants a top quality machine shop course.

Eric Wright – Terrebonne, OR

I have been watching my machine shop course DVDs and, having only high school shop classes and limited job experience before, I have to say these DVDs are GREAT! They reviewed safety procedures I had forgotten about and taught me things about my lathe and mill I never learned before. I like how I can study or review whenever I want. The course is laid out well and very practical and logical. The information is taught without any “fluff” you don’t need. Darrell Holland comes across as a very experienced machinist teaching a student, not a teacher who learned what he is teaching from a book. I am very satisfied with what I received for my money.

Bill Severeid – Elkhart, IN

I would like to begin by saying thank you for a product that I feel is light years ahead of most instructional DVDs or videos that are on the market. I think you have found the right combination of reference information coupled with a “here’s how you do it” instructor that will eliminate a lot of the intimidation that someone may experience when beginning machine shop practices for the first time.

I have been working in and around machines for about 11 years now, and this course has allowed me to take a better look at how I am performing my job, as well as to improve the quality of my products here and my full time job as well as my hobby work I do after hours. This course will equip me to be able to serve the public as a first class machinist.

I have found myself going back over the material several times, and filling in the gaps, so to speak, where conventional training had left voids. Darrell Holland does a fine job getting the information across to you, while remaining a down to earth person who seems to sincerely want you to learn. Far too many instructors are more preoccupied in trying to impress you with what they know, and forget to pass that knowledge along to others. Darrell does a great job at passing his know-how along in a way that you feel like you’re sitting along side him in his shop. This was a wonderful format for someone to learn by. I feel that you have found a combination that really works, and I am very grateful for the work put into these DVDs.

Ron Johnson – Cullman, AL

I have enjoyed the AGI Gunsmithing course, but I am most intrigues with the Machinist course. Even though I have had no formal training as a machinist, I have had numerous jobs fabricating and an opportunity to run a lathe and mill.
After watching Darrell Holland’s Machinist course I learned so much. Now I am able to perform more precision cuts on my lathe and milling machine. Mr. Holland was very informative, easy to follow, and took the time to go into great detail. After taking Darrell Holland’s Machinist course I feel more confident in my shop abilities.

Thanks for all the help and the confidence that all of you have given me.

Jim Hara – Columbia, TN

I have recently completed your Machine Shop Course. I would like to let you know that I have been very satisfied with all of the products that you and your company provide. I was a hobby machinist and found myself frustrated by the time consuming task of looking up information on tools and techniques that I was unfamiliar with. Your course explains this material in great detail in a fashion that can be understood by the novice or the professional. I have been able to turn my “hobby” into a career that I truly love.

Thanks for a great product.

David B. Wessell – Williamsburg, MI

I would like to commend you on a great study course. Mr. Holland has done an excellent job in his presentation of an in-depth Machine Shop Course. I don’t believe I could have learned more in any other kind of setting. His valuable knowledge and expertise came right through the presentation. This course takes you right through the basics on the use of machinist tools to the fine art of producing quality parts in either a production or single component setting. The introduction and detail shown on the setup of the lathe and mill is second to none.

Before I got the course, I had operated only a small lathe about 20 years ago. I had always wanted to buy my own lathe and mill. Well, last year I spend the big bucks and did so. I got all the equipment set up, looked at it and said, “What do I do now?” I looked around the internet and found your course. I purchased the course and started watching the videos. I had so many of my own projects in mind; that I immediately went to work on them. It was amazing what I was able to accomplish using my new machinery and watching the videos.

The videos are an excellent reference too. I use them quite regularly to look up processes that I have not done before. This course also offers a diverse education on a lot of processes – such as turning, brake drums and rotors, the use of grinders and belt sanders. I am especially impressed with Mr. Holland’s emphasis on safety.

I would recommend this course to anyone who owns a small mill or lathe or is just interested in how and what a machinist does. Anyone who wants to improve their position in the company they work for or to enhance their learning curve while taking a course in a school setting should buy this course.

Michael H. Kunde

Thank you for offering these courses at an affordable price. I find that I am able to talk confidently with those who have had machine shop training, even though my hands-on experience is very limited. I feel that I am now able to set up my own shop with a minimum of negative learning experiences.

Randy Farris – Plainwell, MI

I really enjoyed the Lathe, Mill, and General Machine Shop Course. I have learned a lot of new techniques that I use every time I am working in the machine shop. Darrell made things very easy to understand on the DVDs. I am glad that I took the time to take this machine shop course.
